“Adhoc” Pop-Up design office is a contemporary concept that transforms the traditional rules and methods of a design office into a dynamic way to generate design, at the right moment, and with the right people. This innovative, experimental project that will launch in Milan from March to May 2007, was conceived by designer garth roberts. “Adhoc” is sponsored by Sony and DuPont Corian.
Pop-Up design office that leverages its location and creativity to produce a unique product experience, instead of time and exclusivity. It maximizes the advantages of being a ‘temporary cultural implant’ by identifying the creative energy unique to a given city and uses that energy to aid in the design process. In contrast with the retail pop-up event that is the end of the product cycle and a one-off experience, the Adhoc design studio is the beginning and defining element in the product cycle. It is established to be a bespoke method of creativity and design management.

Quando un italiano veste casual business indossa maglione, polo e calzoni. Per chiunque altro vestire casual business è indossare un vestito elegante senza cravatta. Possibile che l'unica cosa che renda eleganti sia la cravatta?!?
When an italian man wears casual business he has a sweter, a polo shirt and a nice pair of trousers. For everyone else wearing casual business means showing an elegant dress without the tie. Is it possible that a tie is the only thing that makes men look elegant?!?

About Week Tria Streams
Gli oggetti che ci circondano sono tutti potenzialmente oggetti di design. Anche quelli più semplici. Anche quelli che non hanno autore. Gli oggetti da cui Achille Castiglioni amava prendere ispirazione. Allo stesso modo la spilla da balia è un oggetto semplice, funzionale, fatto da un solo filo di metallo. Il design per me deve essere così: semplice, esteticamente e funzionalmente studiato.
Objects around us are all object of design. Also simple objects. Also objects without author.
The objects that Achille Castiglioni loved to take as inspiration. In the same way safety-pin is a simple and useful object, made by a single metal thread. Design for me it has to be simple, aesthetically and functionally studied.

A volte credo che i Film siano un po' anche lo specchio di quello che la gente vorrebbe rivedere del proprio passato, e il film dei Trasnformers mi ricorda quando ero un bambino, negli anni 80. Se questa è una tendenza, e se questa si rifletterà nel design, che cosa emergerà da un periodo oscuro per questo settore come quello degli anni 80? forse abbiamo un'occasione per ridisegnare il futuro?
Sometimes Movies reflect what people would like to see again of their past, and Transformers Movie (on screen in July) reminds me of my childhood. But if this is a Trend, so if we're going back in '80, that were such an obscure period for design, what should we expect to see in the market? Maybe we have the chance to build a brand new future, instead of picking from the past?

Il palloncino è per tutti, giovani e anziani, uomini e donne, persone di nazionalità, cultura o religione differenti un ricordo vivo nella memoria. Esso, con la sua forma è un elemento naturale e genuino che stimola la fantasia e forse anche per un attimo ci fa tornare un po' bambini.
Balloon is for all, young and old, man and woman, persons of different nationalities, culture or religion it's an alive souvenir in the memory. With its shape, it's a natural and genuine element that stimulates the fantasy and perhaps sometimes it makes us return children.

La musica accompagna ogni istante della mia vita, come se ogni situazione che vivo abbia una sua particolare colonna sonora. La musica mi fa ricordare ogni minimo particolare trascorso. Sembra impossibile che da un semplice oggetto come il diapason prenda forma la complessità della melodia.
Music goes with every istant of my life, like if every situation that I live has its peculiar soundtrack. Music makes me remember every single past detail. It seems impossible that from a little object like diapason rises melody complexity.

Il mercato dei Giochi di Ruolo è dominato dalle produzioni, non sempre qualitativamente elevate, in lingua inglese e diffuse a livello mondiale sotto varie traduzioni. Sine Requie invece è un gioco di ruolo italiano che ha un suo piccolo mercato nel nostro paese e che si sta affermando come prodotto di qualità. Mi ricorda che al di là di tutto la passione premia.
RPG market is dominated by US products, translated in many languages worldwide even if they're not always good games. Sine Requie is an italian RPG, with a very small market in Italy but high quality, and getting better. It reminds me that, after all, passion is the key to succede.
